On Saturday, with kickoff at 8:30 Saturday night in Dallas, the Chicago Rush is scheduled to visit the Dallas Vigilantes in an Arena Football League matchup.
Although in this matchup, bet on football favorite, Dallas will hold the home-field advantage, it may be the only matchup they’ll ultimately hold in this scenario. The Dallas Vigilantes have struggled mightily thus far in the Arena Football League. Leaving them with a 1-4 record in 2010, these struggles have produced them just one win out of five tries this season.
For the Chicago Rush, the story has been very different. The Chicago Rush has posted a solid record and has managed to dominate games. To this point in the season, the Rush has managed to win four games out of their first six attempts. This has produced an overall record of 4-2 on the season.
On both sides of the football, the Dallas Vigilantes have struggled. they have managed to score just 52 points per game, so far on the season. This poor offense, coupled with their defense surrendering 58 points per game spells “trouble” for the Vigilantes in their matchup against Chicago.
This year, Chicago has displayed a “bend but don’t break” defense. per game, they have given up more than 320 yards, but have managed to intercept 13 passes on the year. This has allowed them to have overall success, giving up only 51 points a game so far on the season. This team is in position to win every time they pl, with their defense forcing turnovers and their offense averaging 55 points per game.

The Jacksonville Sharks and Cleveland Gladiators clash in Arena Football league action on Saturday.
Jacksonville is currently the top team in the arena football league. Through six games Jacksonville has managed to lose just one, posting an overall record of 5 wins and just one loss. This puts them at first in the American Conference, their division and atop the entire Area Football League.
The story has been different for Cleveland. Cleveland currently sits at the bottom of their division within the National Conference. Though this sounds like a poor standing, they have actually posted a solid record thus far on the year. They have three wins and three losses. Unfortunately, they are in the strongest division in the Arena Football league. In nearly every other division they would sit in the first or second place positions in the division with a record of three wins and three losses.
Cleveland, football betting odds favorite, has shown a high powered offense up to this point in the season. Their offense has put up a high number of 62 points per game. This includes over 335 yards passing per game, which makes up for 98 percent of their total yards per game.
The struggle for Cleveland has been defense. On defense they have surrendered just over 60 points per game. This poor defense will make it hard for them to stay at or above .500.
Jacksonville has shown more consistency in their defensive game. Despite scoring less points (56 per game) the Sharks have managed their superior record by limiting opponents to 47 points per game.

The Tulsa Talons host the Alabama Vipers on Saturday May 8, 2010, in their first meeting of the season. The Talons are currently 2-2, with both wins occurring at home. The Vipers hope to end that streak and give them their first loss in front of their home crowd.
The Alabama Vipers are led by Quarterback Kevin Eakin. He has competed 84 out of 136 passes for a total of 1,128 yards. The Vipers are ranked number 1 in total scoring offense in the Arena Football League right now.
One weapon that the Vipers possess is Larry Ship. He is averaging 15.3 yards per catch and has 8 touchdowns. If Eakin can find Ship, the Talons are going to be in for a long night.
You can’t count the Tulsa Talons out though, they have Justin Allgood as their Quarterback. He has completed 88 out of 135 passes for a total of 1,059 yards and 30 touchdowns. He is ranked 4th in the Arena Football League in pass efficiency.

The Arena Football League has regrouped and started the 2010 season, after a rough past couple of years. It looks as if everything is back on track and the reformulated league now has 15 teams that will each play 16 games throughout the season.
Already there have been some leaders and some losers although the season is only about three weeks. The Chicago Rush, the Tulsa Talons, and the Milwaukee Iron who all remain undefeated are some of the breakout teams to start the season and remains hot picks for sports betting professionals.
The Chicago Rush is still undefeated and is the only team to have played four games in the season so far. They are looking to continue their streak and just came off of a win over the Utah Blaze last night. With Russ Michna at quarterback and Wide Receivers Allen Turner and Nichiren Flowers always looking for the pass, they look to be a real offensive threat throughout the league.
Both the Tulsa Talons and the Milwaukee Iron have shown signs of dominance although they have won their first two games in close battles. Completing 25 of 36 passes for 382 yards in their last game against the Iowa Barnstormers, the Iron are led by QB Chris Griesen and he has dominated as of late.
The Utah Blaze and the Cleveland Gladiators both with 3 losses and no victories, the losers in the league right now and are followed closely behind by the Iowa Barnstormers and Dallas Vigilantes who both have two losses a piece. To secure a win in the coming week’s games, all four of these teams have hope and potential.

The Chicago Rush look to be the standout team in the Arena Football League this season. Starting out the 2010 year at 4-0, they are the only undefeated team to have played all four games and to have had convincing victories. This is only the second time in team history that the Rush has started so well in a season. This season football betting online is going to be very exciting.
The Chicago Rush is led by a few different offensive threats. First of all they have their QB Russ Michna who has been putting up big number every game. In their most recent victory over the Utah Blaze he threw for 330 yards with 22 for 31 passing. Not only that, he also had a rushing touchdown in that game.
Michna has proven that he not only is accurate but he can adapt to the situation and use his strength and speed to get into the endzone.
During all four games of the season, Michna has also shown who his new favorite target is; Nichiren Flowers. Flowers totaled 129 yards on nine passes and recorded three touchdowns on the game. With him and Allen Turner in the open field, Michna hasn’t seemed to have a problem moving the ball and scoring relentlessly on unsuspecting teams.
The Rush have also been a force on the defensive end as well. Chris Martin had 12 tackles against the Utah Blaze and was all over the field the whole night. Clifton Smith also has been phenomenal by getting key sacks and blocking field goals.
With this combination of a stellar offense and a total defense, the Chicago Rush look to be the team to beat this season.

Last year, while Michael Crabtree, the consensus number one receiver, was still on the board, Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis picked wide receiver Darrius Heward-Bey in the first round. Of selecting players much higher than they were projected to go, Davis has a long history. The one constant among NFL Draft previews is that the Raiders »”>Oakland Raiders will make unconventional draft choices with their early picks.NFL Draft previews are in headline on every football betting news.
At offensive tackle is Oakland’s biggest need. Last year, the Raiders gave up 49 sacks (third most in the NFL). The Raiders will also be looking to add a defensive linemen with the departures of defensive linemen Gerard Warren and Greg Ellis. The poor play of former number one overall pick JaMarcus Russell has been a big contributor to the Raiders struggles, and they will likely look at selecting a quarterback with one of their early picks.
On an offensive tackle, they will most likely pick Bruce Campbell (Maryland) in their first round pick (8th overall). The 6-6, 314 lb Campbell will likely win out due to his impressive height-weight combo when they will consider Trent Williams (Oklahoma) and Anthony Davis (Rutgers). Campbell also performed very well at the Combine, making him a logical selection for the Raiders.
In the second round (39th overall) comes the Raiders next pick. To their roster, the Raiders would love to add DT Geno Atkins. The 275 pound defensive lineman had a very impressive senior bowl and ran a 4.75 40 at the combine. To impress Al Davis, good 40 times are always a way.
The Raiders’s poor quarterback play was a major factor in their low productivity and they were 31st in the league in total offense. Expect the Raiders to draft a quarterback when they make their selection in the third round (69th overall). Jarrett Brown of West Virginia and John Skelton of Fordham are the likely top-rated signal callers who will be left on the board. Brown has the mobility Oakland hasn’t seen from its quarterback in a long time even though Skelton has a cannon arm.

By acquiring Pro Bowl wide receiver Anquan Boldin from the Arizona Cardinals, the Baltimore Ravens »”>Baltimore Ravens have already made a big splash during the offseason. They are giving quarterback Joe Flacco the most weapons of his young career by also adding WR Dante’ Stallworth as an unrestricted free agent.
Looking for receiving options for Flacco to work with, the Ravens aren’t done. After watching current TE Todd Heap’s production diminish, they seem set on finding a tight end in the draft. They are also seeking to upgrade at cornerback, after falling victim to their current corners’ passing interference penalties in this past season’s playoffs. They will likely look to upgrade at DT, once they have drafted a tight end and a corner.
When the Ravens use their first round pick (25th overall), Jermaine Gresham (TE, Oklahoma) will likely be their pick if he’s still available as he is the top-rated tight end of his class. He would be another valuable addition to an already much improved group of receivers and he is an impressive pass catcher.
With the 57th overall pick, the Ravens pick again in the second round. With this pick, expect them to take a cornerback. They will look at the next tier of CB’s which includes Patrick Robinson (Florida State), Perrish Cox (Oklahoma State), and Amari Spievey (Iowa) along with top CB prospects Joe Haden, Kyle Wilson, Kareem Jackson, and Devin McCourty likely off the board by this time.
As a result sending those picks away in the Boldin trade, the Ravens will not be picking in rounds 3 and 4. Until the fifth round (156th overall), their next pick won’t come. Tony Moeaki (TE, Iowa) or Ed Dickson (TE, Oregon) will likely be available in case the Ravens miss on drafting a tight end in the first two rounds. C.J. Wilson (DE/DT, East Carolina) who has the potential to be a great addition to the Raven’s defensive line, and he may also be available.

Some people would say last season was a disappointing one for the Steelers »”>Pittsburgh Steelers but in the up and coming 2010 season they are trying to make some changes to better themselves.
In the first round of the draft for this season OT Bryan Bulaga was drafted by the Steelers and they do feel he will be a great fit for the offense. With the help of Bryan Bulaga the offensive line should be stronger as the line struggled last year with protecting Ben Roethlisberger.
As for the defensive side of the ball NT Terrance Cody was drafted by the Steelers in the second round with big plans for him to help the defensive linemen to make them the most threatening line that anyone has ever seen.
The roster is the signing of a couple of free agents, DB Dunta Robinson along with DB Kerry Rhodes is another change. In the 18th round, the Steelers drafted Dunta Robinson so is a rookie this season but they look to see big things from him. Kerry Rhodes is a veteran that should be able to come right in and do what is needed of his position.
The resigning of Jeff Reed is one great move the Steeler fans will be happy to know. A tremendous affect was made by the accuracy of Jeff Reed on his resigning and the Steelers feel he is a great asset to the team. So stay tuned for the best possible sports betting action with different sportsbook.
